Holztisch, darauf ein rundes, weißes Deckchen mit gehäkeltem Spitzenrand. Auf dem Deckchen ein weißer Porzellanteller mit blauem, floralem Muster (Serie Burgenland), daneben eine passendes Kaffeetasse samt Untertasse und Löffelchen. In der Tasse Kaffee mit heller Crema. Auf dem Teller drei hellgelbgoldene, mit hellem Zuckerguss glasierte Zitronenkekse. Teils sind noch Stücke von Zitronenschale in der Glasur sichtbar. Optisch: Meh. Inhaltlich: Göttlich.
Freie Interpretation von Paniscia Novarese - einem piemontesischen, sehr rustikalem Reisgericht, das in Richtung Risotto geht. Zwiebeln, Knoblauch, Wurst (hier: Chorizo), Karotten, Kohl), Bohnen, Wein, Tomaten(mark), Gewürzen und Parmesan verschmelzen hier mit dem Reis zu einem wirklich gutem Gericht. Perfekt zum Durchglühen bei kaltem Wetter.

Koto Sushi in Jewelers Row District in Philadelphia, PA. When we got there sometime in early February, they still had their Christmas tree up in the restaurant, but I wasn't complaining. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. Their food was pretty good, their gyudon was probably one of the best we've had at a take-out restaurant, I highly recommend it.

The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar in North Hills, Raleigh, NC. An Asian Fusion restaurant that is known in the area not only by their interesting interior design, and funny artworks hanging on their walls, but for their "Burgerushi" which is a burger reimagined as a sushi, which is the fifth photo in this set. Probably the best cake I've ever had in my life is at a place called Maxie B's in Greensboro, NC, their cakes are always very flavorful and moist, and they rotate their selection quite often so it never gets old. I've been willing to wait in their long lines that goes out the door! However on this particular day, I went during the weekday so there was hardly anyone there. My wife first introduced me to this place in 2014 and I always make the trip there a few times a year! Shot in December 2024.
