@nuintari F-Droid has been great. After moving from #gmail to #mailbox_org I switched my mobile mail app to #K9 and have been using the #Fossify apps. While they may not have the most features, they are minimal and that's appreciated.
I still have some work to do in #deGoogling. #Nextcloud or another solution as well as finding a #googlevoice alternative.
#fdroid has been overall a positive experience. It reminds me of #googleplay from circa 2011.

#TIL: #Samsung #Gallery may automatically create stories from pics stored on your #Galaxy device. You can change the app settings if you don't like it.
You don't have to give that gallery access to your #media. I use #Fossify Gallery instead.

Google hat es geschafft, in seiner Android-Telefon-App ein "Video"-Icon zu hinterlegen (damit kann aus einem laufenden GesprÀch auf Google Meet = Videotelefonie umgestellt werden). Problem: Wenn der NÀherungssensor nicht sauber funktioniert, aktiviert man gelegentlich aus Versehen mitten im Call Google Meet.

Mi pare ci sia un errore di traduzione nella app del calendario di #Fossify: nelle impostazioni, sezione "Eventi", c'Ăš la voce "Rimuovi gli eventi passati" che perĂČ in inglese corrisponde a "Dim past events".
Per paura di perdere gli eventi completati non l'avevo mai attivata ma ho provato e in effetti ne attenua solo il colore nella lista.

I have a REALLY weird issue with my #fairphone running #e_os and it's #opencamera fork: It can't seem to store GPS data in a way that it is readable outside the phoone. #Fossify gallery know the location, but if I share a photo to my laptop, the gps information has vanished.
I share using kdeconnect or Nextcloud => no location data.
If I browse using kdeconnect from my laptop (using sshfs), location data is there.
I can't find out where and why this happens, or how to fix it.

Today's tech recommendation is the superb Fossify Voice Recorder for Android. Its brilliant. I'm using it for my Obsidian voice journal daily notes (the core obsidian audio recorder plugin doesn't work very well/at all in android 15). But the Fossify VM is much better quality and a great user experience.

Hab erst neuen Kalender "Studium" in Sciebo-Account angelegt, dann andere GerĂ€te eingerichtet. FĂŒr #Android brauchts noch die #davx5-App von #Fdroid, zusĂ€tzlich zum schon bei mir vorhandenen #fossify-#calendar.

#Thunderbird-Kalender hab ich intuitiv eingerichtet: Mich dort im Sciebo-Account eingeloggt, ersten Termin angelegt, der dann nach manuellem Sciebo-Reload bzw. manuellem Sync in Davx5 auch sofort auf allen GerÀten und in allen Softwares sichtbar war.
