Ich kann seit ein paar Tagen von Betterbird keine Mails mehr über meine MS365 Accounts verschicken. (Empfange scheint zu gehen)
Der Fehler ist: Senden der Nachricht fehlgeschlagen. addr.name is undefined.

Dazu habe ich online nix gefunden, hat wer eine Idee? Hat M$ da wieder was anti-consumer gemacht?

Bonus: Thundebird crasht komplett wenn ich eines der MS Konten einrichten will.

The MS apps for the company I work for, require a business ms defences thing. I don't like that on my phone. Is there a OS that offers me the normal android experience for my private shit but compartmentalise everything for work apps? So work doesn't get any private data. Else I need to ask my manager for a phone but I want to keep everything with one device -if possible-

I use a Fairphone so switching OS is not difficult.

Tech question. My home internet seems flaky, but I’m not sure if it’s my provider, my modem/wifi router, or devices (like HomeKit switches) at fault.

Does anyone know of a macOS-compatible app that can monitor the first two? i.e., something that can tell me when the internet is down and when the wifi is down. Two different apps would do, I realize I’d have to have one computer wired directly to the modem for the internet status.

I can hook up a linux box if that broadens my options.

I created an educational resource for mixed media artists in the form of a Google spreadsheet. It uses the comments functionality to add annotations to many of the cells. (This is an important feature.)

BUT if I share the document publicly with comments visible, anyone can add their own comments or "approve" mine. This is a disaster waiting to happen if any spammers or mischievous kids were to stumble upon this resource.

I currently have all of my peripherals going through a thunderbolt 4 docking station. I can plug in my laptop or switch which laptop is plugged in and still use the same keyboard, network, and monitors. Does anybody know of a KVM switch that I could use in a situation like this? I want to keep a desktop plugged in with its own networking but be able to switch which device has the monitors, keyboard, and mouse at will.

Mein Paps hats nicht ganz so mit Technik und Benutzerkonten auf dem Laptop.

Ich versuche ihm nun im ersten Schritt beizubringen, dass er sich mit seinem Konto anmelden soll und nicht ständig mit dem "Admin". 😬

Nun liegen beim Admin verschiedene private Dateien rum, auf die er sicherlich zugreifen möchte.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, die in einen Ordner zu packen, auf den jeder Nutzer zugreifen kann?
Mir fällt sonst grad keine Idee ein, wie man die Dateien zwischen den Nutzern verschieben könnte.

#ITHelp ich möchte am Laptop (links) meinen Desktop haben und diesen auf den Bildschirm in der Mitte und dann noch auf den Bildschirm rechts erweitern. Die "Hauptanzeige" - also wo die Verknüpfungen sind etc - soll links auf dem Laptop sein. Ich bekomme das nicht hin und werde gerade nur ein bisschen wahnsinnig 😅🙈

Help with tech issue please!

My son’s brand-new school Windows laptop’s battery is not lasting as long as it needs to: he uses it for one 40-minute WebEx system, which uses up 50% of the battery, and then one independent study session and one in-class session, both of which are just web-based research and/or ebook reading, and typing in Word.

We’ve turned on every battery-saving option we can find, including turning off auto load/background refreshes, turning down the screen brightness and turning the video streaming off HD. This last made the WebEx session use 40% rather than 50%, but overall he’s just left on 5% now instead of completely dead. If he has a day needing more video, or if more classes require a laptop, it’s not adequate.

It was advertised as lasting 14 hours. I know that doesn’t translate to real-world use, but 2.5 hours seems extremely poor. Is the battery a dud, is this just what WebEx/modern apps do, or is there some other setting we can play with?
