@MediaLawProf @DrSandraDuffy I feel the same about the #MadTwitter mental health community, many people made accounts here in a panic but didn’t stick around long enough to really “get” Mastodon. Now some of them are looking at Threads

@elfenzo absolutely understand- I was part of #MadTwitter and am looking for my buddies here (and new ones too)

@DrMutley Similar way as on Twitter - use the hashtag and ask people participating to use it too, with one person taking responsibility for responding to people’s replies. Its just there aren’t enough people to run it in real time like the #MadTwitter chat so I used to do it over the course of a day. It’s important to ask other people to boost the introductory toot to spread the word

#Introduction Hi, Back on Mastodon. I tried it here for a while last Yr, it was ok at first but I found it really hard to connect with anyone. Felt kind of lonely. @madunclegenghis Aw, Jo is a close friend of mine. We met through the #MadTwitter community and it turns out she grew up near where I live. We try to get together every time she comes back to see her folks :)
