* kmail/kaddressbook/korganizer doesn't do it for me. It still looks like the mail client I used to use in 2001. It works fine, don't get me wrong, but the design...
* thunderbird has gotten a lot better, but I find it clunky to use. Definitely if you want contacts/calendaring with it.
I really like the webclient of #fastmail, but I sometimes would prefer a local client.

So I am looking for a new mailclient for linux. My requirements are: lightweight, fast, can handle huge folders on imap (100k to 1M mails/folder) and does not require me to run a desktop environment.
Yes, that precludes thunderbird and evolution. Neither is lightweight nor fast.
