This Intel Twin Lake mini ITX NAS board has 6 SATA connectors and 2.5 GbE and 10 Gb LAN ports
Chinese PC makers have been offering mini ITX boards for build-your-own NAS solutions for at least a few years, but I recently ran across one that has an interesting mix of features including 6 SATA connectors for storage and three LAN ports: two with support for 2.5 Gb Ethernet connections and one with support for 10 Gigabit speeds.
Powered by a 6-watt, quad-core Intel N150 Twin Lake […]
#Framework Desktop:
- $1,099 - Max 385 (8c/16t + 32c iGPU) 32GB
- $1,599 - Max+ 395 (16c/32t + 40c iGPU) 64GB
- $1,999 - Max+ 395 (16c/32t + 40c iGPU) 128GB
No SSD. No OS. No CPU Fan. No Expansion Card.
Yeah, thanks but no thanks. By the time these ship in Q3 2025 (July-September) you will have competitive laptops with #StrixHalo and an #RTX on shelves, and the #MacStudio.

The #Framework Desktop PC really is something I'm interested in, but I wonder how the pricing will work.
At $1,099 doesn't seem too bad, buy even then it still has to battle with laptops with an RTX at that price point.
Again, the #RTX + Intel combo is readily available in terms of graphics and #AI power, so I don't see this flying off from shelves, but what do I know.

Build your own NAS with this versatile, low-power mini ITX board
Intel’s Alder Lake-N and Twin Lake processors are designed to be affordable and energy-efficient chips that offer good-enough performance for a wide range of tasks. They’ve shown up in a lot of low-cost mini PCs, Chromebooks, and other laptops and tablets over the past few years.
But they also come with some trade-offs. One of the biggest is that these chips only have 9 PCIe lanes, which […]

This mini ITX NAS board with up to Intel Core 3 N355 has four 2.5 GbE LAN ports, 6 SATA connectors, and two M.2 2280 slots
Intel’s new Twin Lake processors are basically Alder Lake-N chips with support for slightly higher CPU and GPU frequencies. So it’s unsurprising that PC makers who were already offering systems with Intel Alder Lake-N chips are now offering Twin Lake versions of those same systems.
We’ve seen a number of Alder Lake-N mini PCs updated with Twin lake chips. Now Topton has updated a mini ITX […]

@seanhollister what do you think of #atari no longer making reproduction consoles and just making a, well-built, 2600-styled, #miniitx case? $79.99 for their base VCS is almost what I’d pay for a good retro style living room HTPC/light #gaming case.

Also I'd propably modify the dimensions and design to not get "legal anger" from Apple and instead allow to fit a #MiniITX board or similar inside it...
Propably give it a 5,25" bay to allow fitting a BDXL burner and/or trayless SSD front bay(s) or a #NeoFloppy drive to it...
