I finally got rid of my collection of mile long RJ45 cords just a few years ago. Half of them had one or both prongs broken. 😵💫 IYKYK

From the abstract of a Review article from 2003 in J Cell Biol.
“A Flash feature accompanies this Mini-Review.”
Sigh... remember Adobe Flash?
@nytpu In theory, it should be possible to make single-shot 135 / 120 setups tho there usually isn't a good, turnkey option to just shove in a single image...
But a System that basically could do that (being like single film frames in like a dia frame) should be possible...
Maybe some open-back #MediumFormat cameras like a #PentaconSix can be loaded with just a single & short strip of 120?
Also LFF has the disadvantage of being seen as "#ObsoleteTech" and thus there's very low quantity, but very high quality photographic sheets that thus have the associated premium to it...
One thing I'd love to see is a #LargeFormatCamera that can use the comparably cheaper and more mass produced #Xray #FilmSheets instead, as they are made with like a user-friendly caddy system and designed to provide afforable and fast to develop images without much manual labour...
I mean, fundamentally they still work the same way the original "Curies" as 1st gen X-ray setups worked, just more accurate, safer and efficient...

Y' know... that failed gaming PDA...
I mean it would make sense given that it's something portable yet unusual and that #Stargate #SG1 has a ton of COTS stuff being used as props and devices and for all intents amd purposes all it needs to do on camera is show either still images or play a video so it's not like it can't do both...

The last #floppydisk was made over a decade ago and doesn't even have enough capacity to store a modern smart phone picture, so why do some people still love using them?
Qui donc utilise encore des #disquettes ?

This, children, is mysterious technology we used to use for our photographs. I tell you, one hour photo processing, when it finally arrived at the end of the last century was a *big* deal. #film #obsoletetech #35mm
I’ve been interested in some quirky obsolete formats, one of them being DVD-RAM. I recently obtained a drive for fairly cheap and discovered a problem. The drives are interesting to say the least. The disk comes in a cartridge yet the drives uses a tray. To insert the cartridge you place it in the tray and then press the eject button. The tray then pulls in the cartridge. The tray plus cartridge is bulkier than a normal drive tray and it seems using plastic gears for the entire mechanism didn’t lend itself to drive longevity. I’m hoping the standard gear size applies here because oh hell yes I want to use DVD-RAM without pulling the disk out of the cartridge. #repair #diy #obsoletetech #obsoletehardware
