Despite everything that happened in Washington DC and in the world last week, #WashingtonWeek on PBS devoted its entire half hour to this news report: the Jake Tapper book #OriginalSin about Joe Biden's unfitness to be president and how Biden's insisting to seek re-election helped to re-elect Trump. They also showed some of Biden's miserably bad answers to debate questions, when Biden and Trump were on stage together, to let voters compare each candidate to his opponent. Biden fell apart.

Jake Tapper was interviewed by Terry Gross about his new book about Joe Biden. Tapper correctly said that the two main jobs of a president are to make decisions and to communicate those decisions (to persuade people). In 2024 Biden was increasingly unable to adequately communicate his decisions.
