Really cute #Pinnochio retelling about a robot being tricked by the “Blue Fairy.” I’d read this one after a string of bad issues so I’m not sure if my judgement is clouded by that but I really enjoyed the low stakes, charming read!

We tend to attribute today's Disney art style as safe and familly friendly. But back in the day, it's concept art was much darker and heavily infuenced by Art Nouveau, Expressionism and european folklore illustrations. I would really love to see a new project with an art style like this.

My daughter was lost in thought in the car ride to school this morning. Shortly before the dropoff, she said, "Pinocchio didn't go back."

"Pinocchio didn't go back. He saw a bunch of boys and girls turned into donkeys to work in a salt mine. He escaped and never told anyone about it."
"Maybe... he does it after the movie ended."
