I see the potential of FORMER RaspPi, in clusters, as a viable, scalable, modular, multi-core processor system, and light architecture, but...alas, as many other alternatives to x86-based processors, it is being killed by poison-pill corporate ownership

There should be a market for true aftermarket, generic ECUs, not the racing style stuff that can't control A/C and other comforts. Maybe something Rasp-Pi based that could run the firmware to control engine+EFI+AC+etc

Using an actually-responsive system like the text-graphics mode of a #RaspPi makes me long for the future we never got. So many laggy screens in cars and elsewhere.
Why are we putting up with 100 or 200ms lag times in our GUI interactions? Because of that one article back when from NNg? It was advice based on physical controls, not touch.
I really appreciate efforts to reduce input lag like on the iPhone . There's a huge, HUGE difference in feel between 20ms of lag time and 200ms.
@lightweight Yeah, just a simple #HomeAssistant setup running on a #RaspPi B+. I log the #SolarHotWater and room temps, monitor energy usage using an old Cent-a-meter and scrape #CarbonIntensity data. That's about all my wee Pi can manage!

Companies that ride a wave of demand & market dominance don't realize a community of makers are the reason they exist. Snark towards your user base because YOUR company made some questionable decisions at best, really shows poor judgement .Keep alienating your user base, let's see what happens (hint this platform is exploding in growth due to the hubris of a narcissist on a rival platform that is kind of on fire ATM).
