Just in case this helps any Steam users, we found a solution to the mouse offset issue that occurs where:
- You're streaming through Steam using Steam Link (app or device) or Remote Play.
- Your host PC is Windows-based.
- The application being streamed is running on a monitor with scaling >100%.
This issue can commonly affect users streaming to tablets or Steam Decks :SteamIconLogo:
We've already written about this previously here, here, here, and here, but we wanted to compile the key info in one place to help others. We have also written up a post on the Steam Community forums with all the details here, in the hopes that Steam devs will pick up on this and improve the Steam client for Windows.
Basically, it seems that the issue is caused by the Steam client for Windows being DPI unaware. DPI awareness was introduced in Windows 10 Version 1607 (aka Anniversary Update). You can read the technical details about these below:
The below website was what caused us to realise that Steam is DPI unaware and how to force DPI awareness for Steam and any applications running through it:
In short, you can force the Steam client and any relevant DPI-unaware applications to run as DPI aware by setting the default DPI awareness for a process.
e.g.,:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\steam.exe]

You can do the same for any application you're streaming through Steam: just use the name of the exe.
e.g.,

The problem involves using the Steam Link android app to stream a game from a Windows 11 host :SteamIconLogo: :Windows_11_Logo:
The problem is that if the game is loaded on any monitor with scaling >100%, the mouse co-ordinates are offset 🫤
The issue can be worked around by reducing the scaling on any such monitor to 100%, but it's not a viable option for me sadly for accessibility and productivity reasons.
We believe the issue could be resolved if Steam Link were to call the SetThreadDpiAwarenessContext function, which we've reported to Valve, but we're not expecting an acknowledgement or answer any time soon.
Anyone been able to resolve the issue without reducing scaling to 100%?
Pretty sure the issue can also occur with folks playing mouse-requiring games via Remote Play on a Steam Deck on a host with scaling set to >100%.

Made some progress with #Steamlink this morning before work. It "works," but it isn't exactly playable. Even at sub-HD resolutions, the latency makes even playing games like #CitiesSkylines2 a not-fun experience.
I think the next experiment will be with #sunshine and #moonlight, to see if they can offer a better experience.
Well, my "new" home media #server is coming along fairly well.
I installed a pair of #Seagate Exos HDDs in a #ZFS mirror for mass storage, and created several shares for media, personal files, and #Proxmox images. It's nice to finally have a proper #NAS in the #homelab, plus #Jellyfin is working pretty well!
The next hurdle will be getting #Steamlink to work so I can stream my #steam library to my laptop and #Steamdeck.
Screen recording stressed the hardware a bit, so it is a bit chunky, but if I'm not recording, it works perfectly. All set in 30 minutes during lunch time :)

Has anybody ever tried hacking a #joycon grip into a cable connector, wiimote+nunchuck style? I'm sure it can be done, but I don't have the #diy expertise to work it out :\
I really want to play my Steam games on the telly, but the #SteamLink app can't handle split L+R joycons the way that Steam itself can, and my sad old RSI arms can't handle non-split controllers :(

It's the end of an era here.
A long time ago, I bought a #SteamLink because I had grand plans to stream games from my gaming PC upstairs to the TV downstairs and because I believe in what #Valve is doing. I even bought a second #SteamController for this purpose.
I used it maybe twice on my own, first to test the setup itself and then to verify that streaming worked from Steam on Linux. We then played most of the way through Overcooked, but this concerned our dog so much that we stopped. (We've both worked in restaurants before so we very quickly fell into those habits again and he assumed we were angry. This meant that we effortlessly carried some younger family members at LNY last year.)
A purchase of a Switch and then a #SteamDeck basically ended any possibility of using it again.
A couple of days ago we upgraded our TV from a LG one with a bad case of the blues to a Samsung one and it seemed sensible to just not put it back when re-doing the cable management.
In terms of playing games on the TV, I'm planning to get a dock for the deck and that'll be hooked up to the TV.
So yeah, end of an era for me: my Steam Link is going into a box somewhere and most likely won't make it out again unless I'm planning to hack it or we somehow end up with a second TV.

It’s an excellent tool. I played Choo-Choo Charles on my phone via Steam Deck, and I’m impressed.
Performance: Minimal delay—barely noticeable!

O yüzden ana makinede yüklü Steam'de açılan oyunun sesinin Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB)'ten nasıl "çatırtı" yada "patırtı" şeklinde duyulduğunu paylaşamıyorum.
Fare imlecini ise iki makineden de kontrol edebiliyorum.
