iGame is a MUI-based frontend for starting WHDLoad games. George 'walkero' Sokianos has released version 2.4.5 for AmigaOS 2.04 and higher, AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS. The new information window provides more information about the selected game/demo, such as the year of release, the company/demo group that released it, the required chipset, etc.
What's more, it properly handles PAL-NTSC mode switching while running (for example when a #WHDLoad install has the corresponding Tooltype set). So my games can each have either one set (this is when running Workbench on a virtual HD; when just loading games it's as easy as going into the core settings). This is something I couldn't get working right in Amiberry (nor could I get Amiberry to force a proper 4:3 aspect ratio in NTSC mode).

Staying "up-to-date" on my Amiga WHDLoad collection. WinSCP is handy for doing this quickly. This has become part of my regular routine. I'm also mirroring several other collections for Amiga and MS-DOS games, demos and manuals.

I just updated my personal Amiga collection to include all the latest Retroplay WHDLoad Packs from the English Amiga Board. In 2024 alone, the game collection added over 160 new archives. I can’t express my gratitude enough!
Recently, we have reported about a new version of #WHDLoad: a tool which makes it possible to install quite a lot #Amiga demos and games, which were originally designed to run only from floppy disks, to your harddisk.
But there is another approach available: #JST can also be used to install #Amiga disk-based games on hard disk using WHDLoad slaves. Read more about the tool and the new version in our article:
