After a fair bit of tinkering in between things I’ve finally gotten my BGP bits sorted properly and sending announcements up to my peer, some further filters adjusted in the peers link to the carriers and I’m now routable to the world!

In 2021, the german #DARC received 179,690€ from the #ARDC to correct and update the #Linux #AX25 #packetradio #kernel stack.

Since that day, NOTHING is available anywhere. The dedicated web site (linux-ax25.org) is non-existant and all about this project (and the money) vanished.

44net is devoted solely to amateur radio use. Radio amateurs use 44net networks to set up radio-based networks using packet radio, 802.11 (Wi-Fi), and other technologies on amateur radio frequencies to exchange data using IP protocols. Local and regional radio networks are interconnected over the internet using a mesh network of tunnels between gateway systems.
Over the past months we have interviewed some of the people involved in the #ARDC, a series of #VMs hosted at the servus datacenter; we have also traced the history of #AMRO, Art Meets Radical Openness, and the general radical media art context in which #servus.at was born and still operates.
All this material is now collected in a fancy magazine called "Artists Running Data Centers", which we'll get fresh off the press tomorrow and present at STWST on Tuesday, December 17th at 7pm.
@ve3qbz @M0YNG @VE2UWY I'm thinking that a good strategy would be to offer #hamradio to young adults who are technically inclined and make it easier for them to get into the hobby and have fun with it. This is what I'm doing by teaching one-day Tech classes at hacker conferences this year with a grant from #ARDC. I had 25 in the class, and most were under the age of 35. Just read about Indiana's new Emergency Communications trailer in the Club Station column of the Feb. 2024 issue of QST. Questions that weren't answered: how is it accessible for hams & visitors with physical disabilities. Wheelchairs? How accessible is the equipment and software at the operating positions for blind & other disabled hams? It was #ARDC funded so those questions should have been answered affirmatively. #AmateurRadio #HamRadio

A lot of us have left amateur radio, but haven't forgotten what amateur radio was supposed to be about. All of us - and a growing number of organizers and leaders - are thinking much broader and much more inclusive, picking up #opensource teams, industry groups, and authentically and kindly serving people that legacy and traditional organizations have forgotten, hate on, or outright exclude.
On the "naughty list" are #ARDC, #ARRL, and #AMSAT. Odd how they all start with the letter "A".
