`Here, we show that decreasing the activity of the signaling pathway induces human pluripotent stem cells... & blastoids to enter a dormant state with limited proliferation, developmental progression, & capacity to attach to endometrial cells..similar to other species, the ability to enter dormancy is active in human cells around the blastocyst stage & is reversible..The pacing of human development has potential implications for reproductive therapies`

"Here, we have identified the mTOR pathway as a major determinant of chemosensitivity through a genome-wide CRISPR knockout screen. We show that mTOR inhibition causally leads to the emergence of a reversible drug-tolerant persister population with a senescence phenotype, which is dependent on autophagy and G2/M cell cycle arrest for survival."
