Just used the Web flasher for the first time and it worked pretty much flawlessly! Using a #OnePlus6T :)
(Private Chromium/Brave session did not work though)
It's a very convenient way to update/flash your phone and I love that I can run #docker containers in #PostmarketOS now!

Anyone have a #OnePlus6 (Enchilada) working on #PostMarketOS? Tried multiple versions of v24.12, edge, and v24.06 and the touchscreen doesn't seem to work on any of them (touchscreen works fine in TWRP). On the #OnePlus6T (Fajita) everything seems to work fine on v24.06.
While I don'see myself playing 0AD on a mobile device anytime soon, I think it's really cool that such a thing is actually possible. Imagine if/when this device can connect to an external monitor!

Looks like my front sensor has 3 dead pixels. Acceptable.
My #OnePlus6T just gained new life with the battery from @iFixit. After a failed attempt to buy it of Amazon from a random Chinese seller (the true capacity was 70%), decided to go an buy it from @iFixit.
This battery as 98% capacity (going thru my first discharge cycle, it should reach 100% after the next charge) and it as been working as expected.
Price diference? 4€. Not counting shipping.
Next time you need a replacement part, give @iFixit a visit.

After 6 years it's time to buy a battery for my phone. This #OnePlus6T is a great machine, failing only on the sealed/glued back cover and battery. While it doesn't die, a new battery it is.
Next phone will be a @Fairphone, maybe on summer of 25🤞

Lots of progress with the #linuxphone tonight. After a rather fiddly procedure, I managed to convince #postmarketos to let me unlock the simcard, thank you @uvok for the tip. I can send and recieve calls and messages. GPS is appearently working, no fix yet, and no AGPS, and i didn't manage to get mobile data to work yet. But hey ... :D
I pulled the simcard out, becsuse with it not working, startup and login is blocked by a defunct dialog complaining about phone daemons not answering. Tips??

IT WORKED - finally I'M IN!!!!
Installing the prebuilt images with fastboot failed, but resorting to pmbootstrap worked - so now I have a #oneplus6T phone with #postmarketos and #plasmamobile 6 on it.
I did order a simcard for it, but I haven't gotten that yet, so testing calls and sms must wait a few days.
How ever lots of things works - I can browse the internet with angelfish, look at photos, connect to bluetooth devices, record sound, play music, use KDE Connect, set alarms and use timers, view PDFs, use the shell and more ...
i can't use #tokodon (it freezes when trying to log in), so this is posted from my laptop, and my #nextcloud account configured in the plasmamobile settings does not work - no contacts or calendar events that way, or browsing files for that matter. #Okular shows a meaningful error message regarding files: webdavs:// fails. Not sure why #akonadi fails.

Slowly working on getting #postmarketos on my #oneplus6t. First step is to get it up to date for the sake of the firmware, which leads to downloading images from the default #oxygenos - and what a horror :o Not having lived in googleland for years, it is shocking how awfull using chrome and google search is ... Can't wait to turn it into a #linux #fossphone #linux #foss #plasmamobile!
@pcublogue i daily drove a #librem5 for 1 1/2 years and it was workable, but it is really, really slow and the battery is bad. now i am on a #oneplus6t running #pmos and thats quiet fast. big downer is the missing camera and an annoying bug with calls though. however, i thing the #pixel3a with @postmarketOS is nearly there for daily driving (e.g. camera is somewhat working). on the #Fairphone5 the camera seems to work with pmos, too, just recently. however, i do not know about the rest.
#postmarketos #oneplus6t I finally got a GPS fix w/o really trying, in so far as `mmcli ... --location-get` returned something, but not in so far as any map/nav app finding my location. I haven't entirely grokked AGPS yet (nmea, supl, xtra, etc.) nor have I managed to download assistance data to manually provide to mm, but I feel like I'm close (I also feel like the real problem is reception in my condo. Getting a fix was easy once I was sitting in my car in a parking lot, lol).
