This panorama was merged from 3 hand held shots taken with the Leica M11 at sunset. Last sunlight was illuminating the summit of Monte Pelmo (left side) and a pre-summit of Monte Cernera at the right side in the foreground. At the left side we can see Monte Mondeval already in the shadow.
After merging in Lightroom, I added a linear gradation filter for optimization of colours and contrast of the upper part of the picture.

This picture was taken with the 35mm lens when the setting sun was already damped by the humid air and dissapearing in the mist over the horizon.
Thanks to that special light it was not to contrasty to shoot directly into the sun. However, I needed a mask for the sky in Lightroom to manage contrast and colours separately to get a balanced shot like I wanted to.
The light was already so low that I had more blurred shots than sharp ones, this is a sharo one that plesases me most. As the Leica M11 doesn't have IBIS, one is more limited there and I wanted to keep low ISO for best dynamics.

Two years ago, after a snowstorm. I wasn’t out to take photos—just exploring. Then the clouds dropped below me, the sky cleared, and Mont Blanc stood still under a single lenticular cloud. The last light of sunset painted the peaks in soft pink and purple. I had my camera in the pack… and I’m glad I did.
