Just got a bunch of new tea pots. So excited to start work on them. I love how they tell you what they want to be.

An art deco yellow teapot with a black flat lid that has an action figure painted the same black rising out of it holding a chain that ends in a grappling hook on the edge of the spout. It’s titled “ She liked strong black tea but this was ridiculous” signed @Pineywoozle

The shadowy teapot spouts point the way!🫖

Nice cold sunny day for exploring some newish forestry tracks. around Ardura in Mull, looking for new outcrops. Nothing very exciting, but here's a wee grey basalt cone-sheet cutting paler enigmatic fragmental rocks, which might be Triassic conglomerates with Moine gneiss clasts, or Paleocene mass-flow deposits derived from Triassic conglomerates and Moine gneisses.

#Geology #Teapots #Mull

A view of a shattered looking rock face, overlain by bruwn soil, felled timber brash, and a deep blue sky. Most of the rockface is made of aple crumbly-looking rock, but toward the fight, a grey band of rocks cuts across the pale, slopping up to the right. Two human figures are making shadows shaped like teapots - the ends of the spouts roughly indicate the edges of the grey rock band.

Tea time with a twist! This Davenport rococo revival teapot (1830–37) surprises with its asymmetric form, twig handles, oak branches, acorns & leaves, a rare, playful rebel among the factory’s mostly conventional 19th-century ceramics.

Saw the most stylish teapot in this universe last night.

Pewter, asymetric knob on hinged lid, wooden handle.

(It poured well.)

This week's #FensterFreitag is a #window of the Café am Finkenherd in #Quedlinburg. Which means this photo also qualifies for today's #FotoVorschlag ("Q"), wheee 🤓

A close-up shot of a building's exterior with a prominent window. The building features white plaster walls with light blue wooden beams forming a decorative "X" pattern, typical of half-timbered architecture. The window is a large, dark brown, multi-paned window with eight panes, displaying a collection of different teapots inside. Below the window are two wooden flower boxes with reddish-brown foliage. The building's base is constructed of rough-cut, light-colored stone. Two black, barred grates are set into the stone at the bottom of the image.

A Chinese display shelf with teapots. This is probably my very best pot. It rings like a bell used for puerh green and well aged. It’s red and rather shiny with a high domeA very cheap pot that I repaired and I’m proud of my repair job. The lid is cracked.Absurdly small pot that is useful for tasting expensive teas when you want to brew just a little and sort what you are aging.

This week’s #TeapotTuesday takes an iridescent turn with this early 19th century ‘Moonlight Lustre’ teapot. Lightly hand-decorating gold over earthenware in a 'feathering' technique produces this copper-gold metallic reflection.
