Ich nutze sehr überwiegend #Linux, z.B. mit #Processing für interaktive #Kunst. Falls aber mal Windows/Mac-only-Software, wie z.b. #Touchdesigner eingesetzt werden soll, will mensch in einer Ausstellung im #Museum sicherlich kein nerviges Online-Standard-Windows mit ständigen Popups.

I LOVE Gnome boxes! It's so simple and straight forward to use, and when I time to time get the urge to test out some Linux OSes, it's just soooo easy.

However, installing Windows 11 on it was always a hassle. But I recently found out about tiny11. And who would've guessed: it installs without any issue. So now I have a debloated Windows 11 in Gnome boxes.

I'm quite glad my very old #SurfacePro3 is now running #Tiny11.

It had #Windows10 and was constantly downloading updates but after restarting it would undo the unsuccessful update. 🤷‍♀️ And it wouldn't upgrade to #Windows11 the usual way. I just stumbled upon #Tiny11 by accident. Had no idea it existed. 😅

Also, it wasn't shutting down anymore -- only sleep -- even when I forced* it with power+vol buttons. So the battery always got drained. Now with Tiny 11, shutdown is working again. Go figure. 🤷‍♀️
