"Bridge YaST & Cockpit Gaps”… oh really?

Link: tinyurl.com/bdfnskfh

So let me get this straight,
We move away from YaST,
and now we’re trying to bring YaST back inside Cockpit?

Amazing plot twist. Didn’t see that one coming. It’s like throwing something out the window and then climbing outside to pick it up again because "actually I still need it." 🤦‍♂️

openSUSE devs never fail to entertain.😅

Agama 18 is out! The next-gen #Linux installer now comes with a cleaner, more intuitive storage UI. It has enhanced support for #DASD devices on S/390 and #JSON profile validation without running #Agama. More powerful installs for #openSUSE. agama-project.github.io/blog/2

#Tumbleweed now defaults to #GRUB2-BLS! This modern boot setup brings easier integration for features like full disk encryption #FDE, #TPM2/#FIDO2 support, and faster updates. Clean, simple #boot entries. news.opensuse.org/2025/11/13/t

🔥 10 days on Fedora 43, and honestly… I’m amazed! I thought I’d be running back to openSUSE Tumbleweed in no time (as usual 😅), but Fedora 43 completely changed my mind.

It’s blazing fast, rock solid, and with my Btrfs + Snapper setup, I’ve got full rollback capability just like on openSUSE — total peace of mind. 🧘‍♂️

This might actually be the distro that keeps me around for a while. 👀💻

openSUSE 16 walked into Fedora’s room like:
“Nice setup… mind if I copy it?” 😏

Fedora: Anaconda WebUI, Cockpit, SELinux, Ansible, Btrfs (no Snapper).

openSUSE: Agama Web Installer, Cockpit, SELinux, Snapper + Btrfs, Ansible.

Basically Fedora with an undo button.
Different wallpaper, same playbook.😆

@delmariano the only one thing standing between me stop using openSUSE in general and fedora is the built-in snapper+btrfs.

@delmariano I know, that is what i said in the video. The point is, Nothing will be the same as Yast. Yast was the backbone of openSUSE for many years and the one thing that makes openSUSE, openSUSE.
