Is anyone running their blog on a static or semi-static stack like Hugo, VitePress, etc.?
If so, is there an easy way to add an ActivityPub-based comment system, maybe some share buttons, and also republish content to the Fediverse? I'm not looking for ActivityPub-native blogging platforms, more interested in adding ActivityPub support in a mostly client-side way.

We need a new #InstantMessenger something that's not #WhatsApp, #Telegram or #Signal.
There should be indexers that act as a phone books, but at the same time, people can bypass that by directly adding contacts.
All chat history and groups are peer 2 peer and are stored like torrents with the extended backup being self-hostable.
Recent chat history (up to 30 days) can be stored on the indexer, though they're encrypted and so the server is blind to what's in them. They should explicitly be opt-in.
Whenever a user adds a new client (device) to private chat groups, all conversations recipients should have to approve in order for them to see the chat history.
It should also have all the bells and whistles, like emoji, stickers, groups, channels, etc.

I'm a lover of the decentralised web and try to push things like the Fediverse to people to use as the internet is built to be decentralised and not run by companies like META, Twitter, Reddit or others.
I also support things like bridges from the centralised web to make it easier for people to decentralise themselves.

Truly, there is a real problem with malicious web traffic, just as there is a problem with malicious email traffic. Website operators are looking for solutions.
Just like with email, though, the solution is not to hand more and more control to giant centralised unaccountable corporations to squat on increasing portions of what was formerly the #DecentralisedWeb of #OpenStandards.

Then this gets a little more interesting. Every ‘activity’ we do on the web can be connected with each other in the decentralised web, but when the apps are distributed in a ‘centralised’ manner by corporates who trade your attention, you cannot easily connect your activities because of ‘their’ walled gardens over which you have no control.
For example, if you have account only on twitter and your friend has account on Instagram, you are “not allowed” to follow and receive your friends feed on your twitter timeline, like who has ever heard of such a thing? You have to have an account on Instagram for that.
OTOH, here on decentralised web, these are unrestricted. Here, with your single account on Mastodon, you can follow anyone on the decentralised Instagram equivalent (actually much better if you ask me in terms of features and control) named #Pixelfed. You are layering instances and apps seamlessly to speak with each other using a ‘protocol’ that is about your ‘Activity’ on the web. How cool is that?
