Silver-white water splashes down dark stone steps in this winter waterfall photograph. Firm stone walls form the edges of the dressed stone steps, hemming in the water in this former mill-race. The splash, foam, ripple, twist, and curl of the descending water shows brilliantly against the dark stone. The waterfall ends in a clear stone-lined, leaf-strewn stream. The stream's brown and green tones are enlivened by ripples invoked by the fall and reflecting the cloudy sky far above. Birch trees stand at the left and right edges of the photo. More of the forest can be seen along the top of the photo, beyond the top of the waterfall -- mostly bare deciduous trees.

Still parked on 6 meters and hadn't heard a peep when suddenly some signals appeared. As usual, propagation from a very specific region, this time it was Florida, again. I worked WA1BXY, NO4J, and K9BAW. No new grids there, but I still appreciate 800+ mile contacts on the Magic Band.
