I'm in contact with a young student from Gaza who would like to emigrate to the Netherlands where he has friends to finish his studies (he has a bachelor in Computer Science, AI, and Data Science and wants to do a masters in Data Science). He has also started writing a book and is looking for help to publish it.
Is there anyone in my network working in immigration or international law I could put him in touch with to help him get a scholarship and a student visa for the Netherlands? He is also considering the UK, Switzerland, Italy, France, or Belgium.

CBSA statistics show more than 33,000 removal warrants in the current inventory. Agency vice-president Aaron McCrorie said more than 22,000 people have been removed from the country in the last 12 months.
The CBSA says nearly 30,000 removals were “in progress” as of Oct. 31.
McCrorie said the CBSA processes a “never-ending” stream of people entering the country, including citizens returning from abroad, tourists and asylum seekers.

I know several of these Afghan refugees here in Oklahoma City. They are good folks but they are living in terror, knowing that at any time, one of their loved ones may be taken away by ICE.
Also, a related issue are the many Afghan-American families with mixed immigration status (i.e. an Afghan refugee marries a US citizen, has kids here, etc.)
