I thought I'd share a thing I did: A Javascript bookmarklet that toggles between DuckDuckGo search results and Google results. This has turned out to be very useful.
And the Google result are the classic, organic web results only, WITHOUT AI Overviews, shopping boxes, videos, or other “universal” search features).

Today I used my free no ad Tuta email account to sign into my non-AI enhanced Vivaldi Browser. I reset the default search to searxng. I am also planning on buying an cellphone loaded with the grapheneOS off of ebay.

I am totally into degoogling my life. BUt I am getting off all social networks but those on the fediverse. Of course II haven't had cable for the last 30 years . I never log into YouTube any more. I removed all AI from anything I am using. I use a stripped down version of windows and Linux on my PC's. For the Media, Facebook, Politicians, OS manufacturers you are the product. I was forced to use my old .gmail.com e-mail for a conversation with a shop.
First I wrote to the shops e-mail address .. and did not receive any answer. Wrote 3-4 more mails .. again no reaction from the shop.
the reason: Gmail sorted all answering mails to spam (no imap access). spamfolder is hidden behind 2-3 clicks and content not searchable. And then it's complaining about me replying to a "spam mail". 🙄
What a patronizing experience ... glad its a one-timer.
