This week, I have more fancy #door #handles for you! This door is from #Magdeburg's #Catholic #Cathedral – St. Sebastian. It's only steps from our famous Dom cathedral (which is a Protestant #church), but quite overlooked. What is not to be overlooked are the handles, both outside and inside. 💅🏼

Edit: Since you may not be familiar with the chalk writings on the door: These are blessings from star singers – children calling on doors on 6 January to sing and collect donations for charity. They bless the house every year by writing "20 * C + M + B + [year]" above the door with chalk. It stands for "Christus mansionem benedictat" or "May Christ bless this house". 😉

Love these door handles on a townhouse on Saint Vincent Street in central Glasgow. The house itself was build in the 1820s, but I think these are Art Nouveau in style and date from refurbishments in the 1890s.
