I'm taking advantage of the running off-season to work on my strength by doing a pretty intense (for me) split training program.

Today was a rest day and I decided to take a hot yoga class after not having taken one in many years and I have to say: *loved it* more than I thought I would.

There is nothing quite as relaxing as dripping sweat when the outside weather is -12C 😆​. Hope everyone is having a nice day!

A reminder that with #covid circulating, #hotyoga is probably a really bad idea. This is a reading from a hot #yoga class, during which the CO2 levels were over 5000ppm (outdoors is ~450). Health Canada indicates that levels over 5000ppm aren’t healthy in normal times. I found a yoga studio which runs an air exchange during hot yoga. This is the safest place I can think of to train up for my trip to Costa Rica. 40 degrees Celsius and 40% humidity. I HATE the heat, but this is the best way I can think to acclimate. I did this ~10 years ago when I was super fit and it prepared me for running intervals on an outdoor track during a heatwave.
