Here is our latest #article, DOI: https://doi.org/10.1111/1758-2229.70290.

We systematically collected literature, and used network component analysis to map microalgal axenisation methods and identify antibiotic-free workflows. We could identify clear workflows for diatoms and dinoflagellates, but other #microalgae groups were poorly represented or the methods were sparsely used. We further present practical experiences and opinions from culture banks.

We revisited all publications in the last century focusing on the axenisation of microalgae, and used Network Component Analysis to understand how workflows can be (re-)desgined to remove contaminating microbes from microalgal cultures.
