So the Owlbear has mentioned before that animations can be an accessibility issue. I personally find them to be very useful. They don't have to be much, or fancy, just present.
That said, I like them to be at least a little appealing. And the default #Niri stuff on #PikaOS fits the bill. I have taken to this tiling WM in a way that I haven't with others. The Expose feature combined with a simple scrolling workspace is familiar, easy to use, and powerful.
That said, I'm probably not staying here.
I just prefer a (very) slightly modified #Gnome workflow. The tiling features built into Gnome are enough for Owlbear s, and even if they weren't, the tiling Gnome Extensions fit the bill.
So imma prolly play with Niri for a few more days and then switch to… I dunno. It might be time to settle down for a minute. Something comfortable? #Arch, #Debian, #OpenSuse - one of the core operating systems maybe?
And probably Gnome. It's where I go to get stuff done.
