Well it's #Halloween all right.
Everybody in the house has a sinus infection so we put out a bowl.
Two kids in black cloaks with masks emptied the bowl.
Then another kid dressed in black with a ski mask #stole the empty bowl 15 minutes later.
Is there any point in posting about this locally?
To be clear, I'm not necessarily salivating for revenge. I kind of expected the candy to get stolen. I do feel bad for the handful of kids that came afterward and found an empty bowl.
I'm not going to die without the bowl either, but it was a good stainless steel work bowl in a useful size. I'm going to be annoyed having to replace it and it seems really petty to steal something like that.
I don't expect a police report to help. I'm not looking for anything like that. I guess I'm wondering if there's any point in going on next door or something similar and saying hey, if your asshole teenager has a brand new shiny steel bowl, that's probably mine and I'd appreciate getting it back.
