I went to Birling Gap today. It was quite windy and a bit cold but it's always worth visiting there for the views. There were a few brave tourists enjoying those views and taking many selfies (of course).

The white chalk cliffs on the edge of Jasmund Nationalpark on Rügen, Germany's largest island, are a sight to behold. Especially during a beautiful sunrise like this. It was nothing short of mesmerising to be a witness of this moment. On my own, no less. If you haven't visited this gem in the Baltic Sea yet, you really should.

On the first day of our short stay in Kent based in Margate in 2014 we headed down the coast to Dover which neither of us had been to before. It had rained early when we'd visited Dover Castle and fended off the hundred or so attempts to get us to join English Heritage but for our walk along the famous White Cliffs we had sunshine and a stiff breeze. We were also close enough to France to not only see it but to have our phones keep switching between UK and French providers.
