This weekend I pulled out the Buddipole and did 20m, since it's so amazingly nice out! 44℉ (7℃)

Managed to log 58 contacts all weekend, which is one of my best yet!

Today I forgot to bring my laptop up the hill. Therefore I was forced to do #amateurradio the old style, talk to hams via #ssb instead of doing #ft8. It was a welcome change that made me join the #RSGB contest on #40m plus a #POTA activation on #20m.

I'm currently, sporadically, working folks on #20m

Today's #POTA early shift activation took place with hoarfrost.
Every minute at sunrise reduced the likelihood of #DX on #40m. At least I could work Trinidad and Tobago.
In the end 57 data QSO in #40m, #20m and #15m.

The proverbial 'wire out of the window' enabled me to join the CQ WW DX Contest #CW this afternoon, at least for #20m and #15m. Two dozens of QSO in the log. I hope the other stations could read my stammering.

It's 50°F outside today! That's a good of a reason as any to get out and do another #POTA activation, this time at Big Cliff State Park US-1456.

Also, it never ceases to amaze me what I've can do with an antenna like the MFJ-1820 and 10 watts.

Today's #POTA activation of DE-0192 was different than on other occasions. First foggy then cloudy #wx, 9° C with no wind. In the end more than 120 (!) QSO were in the log and 1 #ATNO: Burundi.
Especially #FT8 and #FT4 on #20m was a never ending pile-up! Like lions that had no food for weeks they chased me ...

Today is s perfect day for a #POTA activation! Unfortunately, after driving an hour to the park, and setting up my 25' Vertical,I discovered the mount had broken into two pieces! ("Why is this thing so floppy?")

At first, I thought all was lost, but while I ate my picnic lunch from the tailgate of my car, I remembered: I have an MFJ-1820T that's just for emergencies like this! The activation is saved!
