Ich betreibe derzeit einen eigenen Server, inkl. #Nextcloud. Ich möchte den Server allerdings loswerden. Es scheint Mittel und Wege zu geben, aber mich stört, dass Kontakte und Kalender nicht verschlüsselt werden. Im Artikel wird deshalb #EteSync empfohlen, aber mir ist die Lebendigkeit des Projekts unklar. Außerdem ist der Installationsguide für @ubernauten, wo ich es alternativ installieren könnte, leider veraltet: https://lab.uberspace.de/guide_etesync-server/
Für verschlüsselte Kontakte & Kalender scheint es ja noch Tuta und Proton zu geben: https://www.privacyguides.org/en/calendar/
Aber für Proton gibt es bei #FDroid nicht die entsprechende App. Jetzt frage ich mich, zu welchem Dienst ich greifen soll oder mit Biegen und Brechen EteSync installieren sollte.

Anyone have any #privacy suggestions for those? I used #Fruux for a hot second but it seems like it imploded right after I got everything working beautifully, and I'd rather avoid #Google contacts/calendar if possible. Something like #EteSync but without needing a bridge?

@fosstastic never bother to run a nextcloud just for syncing contacts. But it is one less server to maintain..

I just had another quick test of #ProtonCalendar .... I'm really happy to see the internal sharing capabilities coming in place.

The only truly missing feature now is basically a bridge solution so I can have my calendar in Thunderbird. Is such a bridge in your plans?

Also, how integrated is the calendar on #Anrdoid these days? I've not tested it this time, as last time it was completely unintegrated and was quite a hazzle to get other apps adding events to the calender. I can probably get used to using only the Proton Calendar app on Android - but an interface for other apps to add events is a must.

As this is progressing, I'm getting closer to replace #EteSync for calendars with Proton Calendar. But you're still not quite there yet, unfortunately.

@abimelechbeutelbilch Ich nutze dafür #etesync. Für Fotos nutze ich #immich und für Mails bin ich bei #countermail.

Meine #Protonmail Subskription läuft heute aus. Ich überlege, ob ich in dem #WalletGarden bleibe oder doch liebe #Etesync nutze, um wenigstens #CalDav und #Cardav nutzen zu können.

Je dois avouer que si je peux déléguer la gestion des composants comme IMAP et Nextcloud, je ne dirais pas non.

Pour la gestion des contacts, du calendrier et des tâches, je suis tombé sur https://www.etesync.com/ , qui semble pas mal du tout. Mais le site web ne semble pas très actif. Le projet est-il encore maintenu ?

We can't possibly maintain all plugins for Evolution ourselves which is why in 3.48 we made a change that allows to ship plugins as separate #flatpak extensions.

And the @EteSync plugin is currently waiting for someone who would create and maintain its extension on #Flathub. #Etesync

Don't suppose anyone out there in the #fediverse is familiar with #etebase #etesync #etesync-dav and #nginx? I'm trying ot get the etesync-dav working via nginx and not having much luck.
