Olinda Creek enters Lillydale Lake through this old timber bridge. The construction fencing is because the Shire Of Yarra Ranges, which superseded the old Shire Of Lillydale, is excavating a big extension of the lake. It was built to stop the creek flooding Maroondah Highway. With the climate becoming more stormy, and floods bigger and more frequent, the Shire isn’t taking any chances!
