Made spruce-tip-ade today. Filled a stock pot 2/3 with spruce tips and several sprigs of mint, covered with water, simmered for like 45 minutes. Strained, added a little more than a cup of sugar per gallon and the juice of a lime.
It's pretty bangin'. Loads of vitamin c, extremely seasonal and local (side yard), and tasty.
Do not try if you're allergic to any of those things, but otherwise it's recommended highly. :)
