@tradjincal If not #ZenBrowser or #Vivaldi, which browser are you using instead?
@tradjincal If not #ZenBrowser or #Vivaldi, which browser are you using instead?
Honestly, I tried both zen browser and vivaldi, I did not find any workflow with the workspace features. It is even worst, I have several window with different space but I can change it. I prefer 1 windows, 1 set of tabs
#browser, #vivaldi, #zenbrowser
@kev I'm still holding on to the importance of not letting a monoculture of web renders win.
I moved to #zenbrowser instead
Does anyone have experience in replacing #LetsEncrypt with Actalis?
I am so much surprised so see that there is barely any activity from European perspective. Short-lived certificates are one crucial dependency that must be fixed. Also, now is the time to establish a European Root CA into browsers like #ZenBrowser, assuming one simply ignores CA/Browser Forum votes, because… why…?!
@mugginsm Just point them at https://cybernews.com/security/developer-releases-tool-that-disables-ai-in-chrome-edge-and-firefox and say “the people have spoken”. Sadly, it seems #zenbrowser doesn't let you edit policies (so I've been told)
After decades of being a hard core #Firefox fan, user and promoter, then of #BraveBrowser these last years and testing a little bit #ZenBrowser, my daily driver since yesterday is @Vivaldi as it is the only one that keeps the visual/cognitive noise of tabs at bay in an intuitive way, while also respecting users privacy/attention and actively not promoting #ApparentIntelligence.
They're closed source though, but I'll try to keep my mind open to their business model, as I do with video games.
@marcorudy Don't discard Firefox entirely - since it is open source, there are many forks that let you enjoy the ecosystem you are used to, without the "features" you would rather not use, and with features vanilla FF does not have. I use #zenbrowser and really like it. #librewolf and #Waterfox are a couple others worth checking out.
just reinstalled zen browser. will see how it is. it felt really slow the last few times i used it, but i really like the ui
(got this + helium in my taskbar next to each other now lmao)
🚨 New Video: 5 Browser Extensions That Give You Real Digital Independence
If you are browsing the web without an ad blocker, your browser is an open door for data brokers. But at this point, uBlock Origin is just the bare minimum. In the new video, I am sharing the 5 free and open source (FOSS) browser extensions I use to harden my system, poison data profiles, and actively fight back against the surveillance economy.

What's up with those #ZenBrowser guys?
I mean sure, I see people promoting Vivaldi all the time, but usually as a response to someone asking, or as a new post.
But I feel like I can't make a post about a reason I like Vivaldi without someone jumping in and telling me I should try ZenBrowser.
I'm not even against Zen from a technical perspective, I've been wanting to give it a try before. It's the fanclub that annoys me enough to keep me away.
Servo 2025 Stats
https://blogs.igalia.com/mrego/servo-2025-stats/
On this curve we clearly see the drop in contributions following the abandon by Mozilla and the incredible rise since.
2023 was already a better year than 2020, and it was x3 in 2025 compared to Mozilla's period. A beautiful square-root shaped curve : √
Ok it's not ready yet, but a lot of people are rushing toward this goal.

@brucelawson I prefer #firefox based #opensource browser with vertical tabs which committed to #noAI , Try #ZenBrowser https://zen-browser.app
@AprendiendoLinux y se olvida (o a veces desconoce) que #firefox tiene varios derivados interesantes, como #waterfox, #librewolf o #zenbrowser que eliminan las malas decisiones que ha tomado #mozilla en el camino.
I have installed @zenbrowser today for the first time. At first I was skeptical if I could get used to the vertical tab layout and the workspace approach. But I think after a few hours of using it, I can say with a big amount of certainty that I really like it.
@linuxallday #zenbrowser a firefox fork that is what firefox should have stayed : privacy focusded, no ai, and innovative !
I've been happily using #ZenBrowser for the better part of a year now, and only recently started utilizing it's unique features more!
A lot of this can be done in upstream #Firefox too, but not all. since Mozilla has been acting creepy, and almost every other browser these days is built on #Chrome[ium], it's important to cherish diversity in the ecosystem, because that always promotes growth and is better for users (even if harder for web developers).
