Today, amongst other things, I'm going to have to think about and prepare for migrating off AWS and somewhere else, likely within the UK.

I could be optimistic and pretend that the UK and EU remain in sufficient equilibrium over data but perhaps I shouldn't.

Operationally, I probably only have to have an alternative to DescribeInstances, Fabric2 does the work.

Within the system the big piece is SQS/SNS, and there needs to be an S3 like store.

It's somewhat surprising that #Elektron mk2 Digitakt and Digitone instruments do not have #USBC #port. Or at least USB-B-to-C #converter cable provided in a box. Probably USB-C is not so prevalent yet but these devices will last for a long time. I would guess updating a connector port would be good for #futureproofing the device. It's not even possible to purchase the converter cable from Elektron, but there are third-party converter cables available, for example UDG sells one with good reviews.

@vfrmedia @ak@mcr.wtf I usually head for open source tools when a company is showing signs it is becoming #userhostile. Or if I don't already use a closed source tool. This may be the last closed source tool I still reach for. Usually the threshold to switch is 2x better in some category. In this case I'm struggling to see what 2x improvement they can offer. Even the risk of #futureproofing is a low risk here as #ltspice doesn't phone home for #licenses or save things on the #cloud. #enshittification?
