Unorthodox #browser #bookmarks experiment under #Linux:
I've switched from #Firefox's bookmark manager to #Zotero.
Export to HTML from FF bookmark manager, import into Zotero. Tags and folder structures were preserved, also some metadata.
It still feels like a bit of an overkill to keep Zotero open, but I have finally left that vendor lock-in for my bookmarks behind me. There's browser add-ons for Zotero that I had already used, so adding new bookmarks is painless.
Using #Junction, in addition, I'm enjoying how I get trained in opening bookmarks quickly, in the appropriate browser, depending on my respective privacy and security needs. Should have tried this combination earlier.
