I brought my cucumber, melon, and zucchini starts home from my dad's greenhouse. The summer garden is about to begin. I'll plant these tomorrow, after today's storms pass.

These starts are much more mature than the ones I planted last year. The cucumber vines already have flowers and fruit!

The vegetable garden harvest for July 19, 2024, which didn't require 15 reboots. Left to right, bottom to top. Bottom row about a dozen small earliglow strawberries, 4 orange cherry tomatoes, 3 Principe Borghese red tomtoes slightly larger than a cherry, 1 sweet tangerine tomato that is orange and a slicer. Middle row 2 zucchini that are light green, 3 straight neck yellow summer squash. Top row 2 Marketer cucumbers, and 4 Muncher Cucumbers. All placed on recently mowed lawn that is white clover and grass in the mid-morning sun.

No shortage of cucumbers, going to have to make pickles soon. I think I found the last runner bean until it cools off.

My English cucumber problem. Soooo I have about 20 of these, ripe/organic/wrapped. Need to know ideas on how to eat/cook/freeze. All I can think of are vague canapés and quiche. I also have a lot of bell peppers, onions, squash, green beans and grape tomatoes. Hmmmm.
