Ja, kenne ist und ist auch mit ausschlaggebend für mich. Allerdings scheint #eos deutlich verbreiteter bzw. zumindest wird es hier auf mastodon in meiner bubnbe deutlich öfters als alt. os für #Fairphone genannt als #iodeOS.
Encantado con @e_mydata, todo funcionando genial en mi #fairphone5. Ojalá me hubiera animado antes a instalarlo.

To anyone who's actually confused about what to pick between GrapheneOS and Murena/eOS. I very much encourage you to read the article linked by GrapheneOS in the description (Kuketz's blog post as well, linked inside the Graphene blog post) and if you go to the referred iFixit post mentioned in the article (which has corrected its mistakes after Graphene pointed it out), you can also find the official /e/OS response to Graphene's blog post as well.
Kuketz's post is really informative on how /e/OS works and I'll strongly recommend people considering /e/OS to give it a proper read.

Solutions
Developer verification will be enforced on certified devices with Google Play Services installed, which is the majority of Android devices. There are options to bypass the restriction:
Use a free, uncensored Android system like /e/os, LineageOS, or GrapheneOS that does not preinstall Google Play Services.
"Degoogle" by removing Google Play Services. Depending on the manufacturer of your phone this may require rooting your device.
Install apps via ADB. Google has already confirmed that ADB will continue to work in the future. You can either use ADB from a PC as described below or use a wireless ADB based installer like anyapk.

Hat jemand ne Idee, was man tun muss, um auf einem #shiftphone8 mit #eos von @murena einen Anruf auf dem Screen angezeigt zu bekommen?
Bei mir klingelt es zwar, ich könnte den Anruf wohl auch mit einer Lautstärketaste annehmen, würde aber schon gerne sehen, wer mich anruft ... :-)

Ich habe nochmal mit der Kamera vom #Shiftphone 8.1 getestet. Mit #OpenCamera funktioniert die nun doch ganz ordentlich. Auch #QRCodes werden mit der QR- und Barcode Scanner App gelesen. Was im Gegensatz zu einem alten #Samsung S7 mit #eOS weiterhin nicht funktioniert wie es sollte, ist das Aktivierungsbild aus der Bankapp vom Bildschirm eines anderen Gerätes zu scannen. Das fokussiert beim Shiftphone nicht - beim S7 auf Anhieb.
Gelöst habe ich das jetzt, indem ich die Grafik vom S7 mit dem #Fairphone abfotografiert (Screenshot wird unterbunden), das Foto so groß wie möglich gezoomt und dann mit dem Shiftphone gescannt habe. Das hat nun funktioniert, aber so richtig geil ist das mit dem Shiftphone wirklich nicht, wenn man für alles, was eigentlich ohne Probleme out of the box funktioniert (mit neuem WLAN verbinden, Aktivierungsgrafik scannen, ...) höndische Eingaben und Klimmmzüge mit 3 Geröten, abfotografieren etc. machen muss 🤷
Für den Preis erwartet man (ich zumindest) mehr als nur Nachhaltigkeit.
Unsere Fairphones hatten nie solche Probleme. Leider gibt es bei Fairphone selbst beim 6er noch keine 512 GB Variante und wenn man die SD-Karte für mehr Speicher verschlüsselt haben will, geht das nur, indem man die Variante "internen Speicher erweitern" wählt, was bei einem Defekt der Karte den internen Speicher und damit darauf abgelegte Systemdaten zerstört - keine Option.
Auch induktives Laden, was heutzutage in jedem Auto vorhanden ist, kann Fairphone noch immer (beabsichtigt) nicht.
Last but not least hat das Shiftohone 8.1 die bessere IP-Zertifizierung gegen Staub und Wasser.
Das waren für mich die Gründe, diesmal ein Shiftphone zu kaufen.
Wie gesagt bin ich bislang aber eher ernüchtert ☹️

Les devs de GrapheneOS ont toujours été durs avec /e/OS, reprochant à Gaël de mentir sur la sécurité de /e/.
D'ailleurs leurs arguments sont plutot convaincants. Soit c'est secure soit ca ne l'est pas. Il semble que non pour /e/OS.
Si je devais choisir, mon choix pench…

@photogramm zwar nicht mit #eos aber mit #lineageos und #IodeOS (was wie /e/OS auch auf LOS basiert) zusammen mit der #glsbank app funktioniert #Wero wunderbar. Sollte im Hintergrund das selbe sein wie für die #vrbanken, daher geh ich davon aus, dass es damit auch gehen sollte. Mobil bezahlen ohne Google Pay funktioniert damit übrigens auch. Hier hab ich sogar die VR-Pay App schonmal genutzt.
Qu'elle bonne surprise. Un peu de pub pour #eos sur un émission radio majeure (bon d'accord, c'est pas du tout objectif !), ça fait plaisir.
