I live in next-door Aurora, #Illinois. Mayor Wehrli is naive to believe that #TheBears were ever serious about going to #Naperville instead of #ArlingtonHeights. The team's talks with him have always been an obvious negotiation tactic for a better offer from Arlington Heights.
Naperville is a lovely city, with lots of things to be proud of. But it doesn't offer the existing open lands *combined* with existing #traffic and other #UrbanInfrastructure that Arlington has to offer. Arlington has an existing large sports facility, which is abandoned and waiting for the team to move in, with roads and restaurants already right there. Naperville has none of that.
#TheBears have long made it known they hope to move to that racetrack and take over that space. They just want huge tax breaks and offers of city funding to rebuild, which Arlington has so far been unwilling to give them.

Exiting the Clyde Tunnel in Glasgow. Opened in 1963, this tunnel increased connectivity between the north and south banks of the Clyde, but at the cost of slicing local communities (and, by the looks of it, even some tenement buildings!) in half.
