I've uploaded a few more videos to my makertube.net #PeerTube account, and I'm getting the hang of the captions so have edited a few to be a bit more accurate. I've also shelled out for a couple of gadgets which should improve the quality of my future posts - some cheap wireless lapel mics with wind muffs, so I will hopefully have less problems with mumbling and speech being obliterated by wind noise, and an HDMI video capture card which I can use for doing screen captures without pointing a camera at a screen. I'm planning on doing some Linux install videos, which involve making changes in the BIOS setup, which obviously can't be done using screen capture software.

It's pretty eclectic at the moment - going to have to work out how to organise these into separate themes (channels maybe?) - with some vids from my recent ramble on the Shropshire Hills.

2025.5.25 慈溪，王家㻖南路。这是一条鲜为人知的小路，水泥板砌成的台阶直通到小山顶，路两旁皆是峭壁。拾阶而上，可以抵达上林湖西侧的杨梅园里。此时小满时节，杨梅正在盛果期，即将成熟(忍不住尝了个，妈的，真是嘎嘎酸)，不时有果园的农人顺着小路上去果园里除草施肥。路上询问一个老农，他说这几座山种的全是杨梅，我看着满山的杨梅，不禁想象杨梅成熟时节，农人扛着杨梅下山的情形。(May 25, 2025, Cixi, South Wangjialin Road. This little-known path with concrete slab steps leads straight to a hilltop, flanked by steep cliffs on both sides. Ascending the steps brings one to the bayberry orchard on the western shore of Shanglin Lake. During this Grain Buds season, the bayberries are at their peak fruiting period, nearly ripe (I couldn't resist tasting one - damn, it was puckeringly sour!). Occasionally, farmers carrying hoes and fertilizer bags pass by on their way to tend the orchard. When I asked an elderly farmer, he revealed that all these hills were planted with bayberries. Gazing at the sea of unripe berries covering the slopes, I imagined the harvest season when farmers would carry baskets of crimson bayberries down these very steps.)

Found this unexpected little #door on a #countryWalk around #Oxted. This must be #Limpsfield Common and it seems there are even more miniature houses now (or we missed them in 2016).
