I am SO amazed.

I updated to #kde #plasma6 this morning. I started the plasma session with #wayland - and guess what?

Everything JUST WORKS.

Multi-Display, Screen sharing, Camera, etc etc... everything works out of the box just like you'd expected.

I wish that Libreoffice Calc has a World Map graph function like the desktop version of Excel. That is the one feature that I would love to have back.

A goldurned miracle. I have installed my printer (Canon Satera MF232w) on my laptop in Debian.

Didn't work: all of the instructions on how to install a driverless printer in Linux / with CUPS. Wasted an hour or two.

Did work: installing the Linux driver from Canon's website, go figure.

My laptop gets a lot less use than my desktop PC, but I usually import photos from my camera onto my laptop, since that's what I have with me while traveling.

Since I took the plunge and switched my laptop from Windows 10 to Debian, this is my first try importing photos. Was relatively painless except for weird behavior where attaching the camera mounts it as a folder which prevents Shotwell the photo manager from accessing the camera, so I had to unmount the camera as a drive before I could import in Shotwell.

Aside from that, actual import and a few tweaks to try things out went well enough. Momiji to celebrate :momiji:
