I tried https://github.com/vashishkov/firewalla-nordlynx and a manual config as well but no dice, none of them will actually connect. I hear tell Wireguard is much faster than #OpenVPN and want to give it a try.

Ich habe soeben endlich die letzten Konfigurationsschwierigkeiten beseitigt und jetzt läuft mein Netzwerk endlich perfekt, samt VPN-Verbindung nach Hause, für Sicherheit in öffentlichen Netzen und Werbeblocker über PiHole.
Voll gut. #Wireguard war etwas tricky einzurichten, aber auch nicht komplizierter als #OpenVPN .
Sehr cool. Jetzt muss ich noch alle Clients einrichten und vor allem meinen Reise-Router (#raspberrypi mit #OpenWRT) noch ins VPN bringen. Wenn das läuft, wird das traumhaft!

Linus has merged the net-next changes for the 6.16 #Linux kernel version.

This is huge for #OpenVPN, as the Data Channel Offload kernel module is now officially merged and will appear as the ovpn kernel module.

looks like #GLiNet firmware 4.8 and up will support a considerable speedup for #OpenVPN connections by offloading handling of the data stream to the kernel, which appears to be an open source effort, i.e. it's not a manufacturer-specific enhancement.

Fun fact: Internet is actually faster now thanks to the official #NordVPN client on Parrot.
On Windows, I was using #OpenVPN manually, and that was noticeably slower.
