Wasted a whole bunch of hours trying to get the 5Gz #wifi working on #RaspberryPi5 and #Ubuntu. Turns out that combination doesn't work as of now with the stock hardware. Added a post about it.

I'd like to install #Debian on my #RaspberryPi5.

https://raspi.debian.net/faq/ says, "We cannot plan for including RPi5 support at least until regular, upstream, mainline Linux kernels are able to boot on it." That's perfectly fair.

I wonder how close we are to having mainline #Linux kernels that work on the #RPi5? I see kernel 6.17 is now available in Unstable.

Among other distributions, it's supported by RaspberryPiOS (of course) and Ubuntu.
