Thunderbird plans to launch open source alternatives to Gmail, Google Calendar and Office 365
Mozilla Thunderbird is a free and open source email client, calendar, and contact application that’s been available for more than two decades. It first launched at a time when Gmail wasn’t a thing and most web-based email service providers offered only a few megabytes of storage space. But the demand for desktop-only email applications has diminished in recent years. So now the Thunderbird […]

Today's itch is to go back to getting my mail in Emacs. What are we using these days?
@digitalprivacy Except that almost noone uses it widely.
People use signal and so one is more or less "forced" to comply to not loose contact :-(.
(and actually, if #Email is the medium, which is the case for #DeltaChat, I prefer a "proper" #Emailclient like #clawsmail. In general, I dislike any #instantmessaging user interface paradigm; it just does not fit me.)
Is there any OSS or FOSS e-mail client, for Linux or Windows that has native ActiveSync support (not EWS)? 🤔 🐧
I can't seem to find any, and considering it's been around "for a while", I would have thought there would be some (yes, I'm aware of all the fabulous *DAV variants, thanks).
(I mean, there are plenty of e-mail servers that run on Linux, for example, that has server-side support for it.)

It should be noted, very loudly, that Proton Mail (and I expect the others) simply implement #PGP encryption in a way which requires little interaction from you.
Every #email service could do this.
The magic is in the e-mail client - not the service. Demand better from your #EmailClient, so you do not have to use a proprietary one. It is 2025 and we still do not have a #FLOSS / #FOSS email client which seamlessly implements #e2ee.
Is U Doin' Bui'ness?
According to #Google
Set up #BIMI
You can use the #BrandIndicatorsForMessageIdentification (BIMI) #standard to add your organization’s logo to #outgoingemail messages sent from your organization. #Emailclient that support BIMI display the #logo along with your organization’s messages in the recipient's #mailbox. #Logos used with BIMI are #verified by a #thirdparty so #recipients can be sure logos in their inbox are #legitimate.
BIMI requires third-party certification for your domain and logo. The third-party #certification must be a #VerifiedMarkCertificate (#VMC) or a #CommonMarkCertificate (#CMC)."

Okay. So, who is the "Verified Third Party"?
