So 'help' gets rebranded as:
"Woke"
"Degenerate"
"Communist"
"Lazy"
"Feminine"
"Gay"
Not because it fails, but because it works. When people are helped, a few 'dangerous' things happen (from the perspective of power):
- People become less dependent on authority
- People understand systems that once confused them
- People need less permission to survive
- People start asking why things are the way they are
That definitely threatens hierarchies built on dependency, confusion, shame, and scarcity.
So the response isn't to argue effectiveness, but to moralize help.
'Help' becomes 'weakness.'
'Accessibility' becomes 'indulgence.'
'Empathy' becomes 'corruption.'
'Understanding' becomes 'indoctrination.'
If helping people were framed honestly, the question would be:
"Why didn’t we do this sooner?"
But instead it's reframed as:
"This helps the wrong people."
This is why 'help' is gendered, sexualized, racialized, and politicized.
It’s not about outcomes, but who "deserves" 'ease,' 'dignity,' and 'understanding' and who 'doesn’t.'
Calling help 'woke' is a way to say:
"Suffering is part of the system—don’t touch it."
