#DisplayManager

Some found themselves in a situation where GDM no longer allowed #X11 sessions, but I'll explain what's going on.

At the moment, support for X11 sessions has been disabled (for testing reasons), but there is a flag available to put in the GDM config which is EnableXorg=True.

But why? There is the process of removing the #GNOME #Xorg session.

But don't worry, you can still enable X11 sessions, and it might be reverted to "True" by default later or with the new version.

@peppe thaks man... it feels good, as I'm on the suck train for a while now 😅

Since I've switched themes, LightDM stopped working, and I can't log in until I first log in on an other TTY in text mode... Apparently opening the #LightDM greeter settings app screwed everything up? Now I'm looking for an alternative, but nothing else seem to support a "switch user" type feature?

#justLinuxThings I guess...

@tilton Every time I catch someone mention X11 and Wayland WITHOUT mentioning Arcan as a 3rd option I do:
Arcan is the 3rd option! arcan-fe.com/about #Arcan #displayManager Better than the other two in many ways.
