Ich habe mich dann mal nicht in die lange Schlange vor der Eingangstür gestellt. // For me as an outsider, the Asam #Church in #Munich seems quite t̶a̶c̶k̶y̶ elaborate. There was a long queue in the street, but I gave it a miss.

The amazingly opulent interior of the Café Central in the ground floor of the Palais Ferstel, Vienna. The principal and striking feature of the large room is its heavily vaulted and decorated ceiling, supported by highly decorated polished marble pillars. The capitals of the pillars are both carved and painted, and embossed in gold, while ornate candelabras with lit, flattened ovoid glass lumières hang from the high point of each ceiling arch. The predominant colour of both columns and ceiling is muted yellow and gold, so the interior is bathed in a sumptuous, golden light. A couple of white-apron clad waiters can be seen, attending to the capacity crowd sitting at tables. In the foreground a coat stand and polished brass welcome sign can be seen.
