  • Authelia (Docker): Just set this up for two-factor authentication and single sign-on. Seems to be working well so far!
  • LLDAP (Docker): Lightweight LDAP server for managing authentication. Also seems to be working pretty well!

  • Notifications via: #Ntfy (Docker) and Zoho's ZeptoMail (#Zoho)

Accessibility Focus ♿️🖥️

Accessibility heavily influences my choices—I use a screen reader full-time (#ScreenReader), so I prioritize services usable without sight (#InclusiveDesign, #DigitalAccessibility). Always open to discussing accessibility experiences or recommendations!

I've also experimented with:

  • Ollama (#Ollama): Not enough RAM on my Pi.
  • Habit trackers like Beaver Habit Tracker (#HabitTracking): Accessibility issues made it unusable for me.

I don't really have a media collection, so no Plex or Jellyfin here (#MediaServer)—but I'm always open to suggestions! I've gotten a bit addicted to exploring new self-hosted services! 😄

Came across a pretty cool self-hosted #OpenSource #bookmarkManager called Grimoire.

It's written in typescript. I like a lot of UI & UX choices the developer has made. A really nice balance of visual and functional. Check it out if you're interested in self hosting and like TypeScript

I’ve been using Buku import bookmarks across my phone and browser. I prefer having many small programs do things than many big ones, and managing things locally than through an account and cloud service. This has been good enough at its job–adding new bookmarks has a very low barrier, and I really like being able to pipe the bookmark URLs into other programs. The features for filtering by tags are tricky, though, and I wish I could track several different tables of bookmarks (maybe I can I just haven’t looked).

I’ve thought about starting to use Pinboard or AreNa, and I think this tool would work pretty well with their API. If you have already done something like that, let me know!

ideas - maybe we could get an "undo" function?

developer, thank you for making this extension / new tab page. works wonderfullly. could we get an undo function so if we accidentally drag and drop something somewhere, we could right click and undo or something like that?

"Favorites - New Tab Page" i think is my favorite new "favorites/new tab page" setup. its like how it *should* be. The way bookmarks *should be* on chrome/chromeOS/chromebooks etc. it takes your existing bookmarks, and takes advantage of all the screen real-estate you've got and gives you a beautiful icon-grid layout which you can customize to you heart's content.

if you were kinda missing the ability to do a nova launcher type setup in chromeOS /chromebook, "Favorites - New Tab Page" is a solution I think you might enjoy

I was working on an #rss reader as a side project, but once i started running containerised things I just got one from the internet...

now my side project is a #bookmarkmanager, but most stuff ends up bookmarked in the rss reader because if they wrote one cool thing why wouldn't I just subscribe to their feed?
