La primera, por supuesto, @linuxmint con #Cinnamon y ese Look muy de #Win7
Las otras dos usan @kde #Plasma como ambiente de escritorio.
Una es @fedora, la otra es @kubuntu (24.04 LTS, para más estabilidad).
¿Cuál puede ser un buen primer paso a un perfecto desconocido?

Up to now I have always had a #Win7/10 box on my workbench for everything #embedded. I wanted an alternative to my workstation, in case I fry something. Right now it is a refurbished i3 for 60eur. #Win11 will not run on that thing, but I won't throw a perfectly good computer away when #win10 support ends.
So I checked if all my HW/SW I usually need has a #Linux alternativ and guess what: The only thing I have not found a replacement for is my feel-good #Git client Sourcetree 🤣
Anyone familiar with changing #network settings on #DiGoCo audio consoles? They use embedded #win7 and #uwf (unified write filter) to protect the system image.
Typically to make a system change you disable uwf, make your change, re-enable. This doesn't seem to be working for network settings.
Any help would be appreciated!

@rudy @beyondwatts thanks once again for this, just added it to my dash and definitely looks a lot more modern. I wonder how does HA decide what the default app should be as I feel this should be the one for HA instead of the current calendar card which looks very dated (feels like a #Win7 widget)

Just released dos2ansi v0.4, with lots of #DOS #codepage s supported and a testmode to display them.
The next nice feature would be to use the actual terminal capabilities if output goes there. Very simple on *nix-like systems (#Linux, #FreeBSD, ...), just link #curses and use the termcap functions.
Thinking about #Windows again, either I keep relying on #UTF8 support (since #win7 IIRC? and still a bit buggy) and #ANSI sequences support (since #win10) .... OR I attempt to use the native #Console #API there (using special functions to write in #UTF16 and other special functions to set colors, which would require a major refactoring first 🙄)
