A bit more looking at #VLC documentation reveals that it's very thin for such a ubiquitous and long-lived project.
It's bizarre that the "playlist" word itself is the first item you see, in the most prominent position in the app, yet the word is almost totally missing from the documentation. Searching gives you only three hits, all down in the weeds of disk paths and inner workings.
All the documentation of making and managing playlists is 3rd party sites on the web.

It's almost #midnight in the #pnw but I had an idea to make my #cyanotype code a lot more useful. Instead of futzing around with the interface each time, I'm exporting the #png images and then just using the #vlcmediaplayer. Basically you can play a video of the threshold over and over for the amount of exposure you want..... just about ready to develop this baby.

Fun fact about #VLC Media Player
You can easily adjust the #pitch of #audio #playback by pressing CTRL + E and going to [advanced] (full path: Tools > Effects and filters > Advanced) the pitch can be changed from -12.0 #semitones to +12.0 semitones. I regard +4.5 semitones as my favorite pitch.
If you are into #Nightcore / #Anime you can achieve this effect with this filter, and also by adjusting the playback speed.
Note: changing this setting does not alter the audio/video file itself. You can always turn it off and have the media play normally, it only affects the current session. It won't overwrite the file in any way.
This is one of many features I like about VLC that can't be achieved in a web-based video player site (such as YouTube or Vimeo)

One thing that struck us in the lead up to doing this work, was the #VLCMediaPlayer, when it comes to native applications orange is thus widely accepting as video, Things like PDFs are given the red iconography. Its interesting that red online is more associated with video, Netflix included, and might be based on ulterior motives like stimulating particular emotions. Or it could be because RSS appear to have adopted the orange.
